Chiltern Christmas Rally It’s that time again the most wonderful time of the year and it saw the merry band of Chilterner’s getting together to celebrate the season.  The rally was attended by 17 Chiltern vans and two from Avon Group. After a dull and cool weather week we arrived at Queens Acre, Windsor on a very bright and warm Friday. A new venue for us, finding nearby locations added to the interest.  The bus stop to Windsor or Maidenhead is a safe and easy 10 minute walk and 20 minutes has you on the Thames footpath

As hoped, a great turnout of 41 vans arrived for the Village at War Weekend where the village was transformed back to the war years, with so many people in their 1940’s outfits, live music from the era, and re-enactments going on around every corner. A successful 3 day meet with Chair Mick Mead and the Chiltern Committee running round making sure things were going smoothly, and a fine job they did. There were 40 vans on site. There was fun on the first evening with a Chinese Raffle with a lot of stealing going on especially the cuddly lamb
