The Chiltern region covers Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Middlesex.

We try to hold rallies twice a month in the summer months and once a month in winter months.  Rallies in the summertime are very often held in fields that have basic elsan and fresh water facilities.    We take shelters with us to most summer rallies, unless we are lucky enough to have the use of a village hall or barn.  Daytimes are usually kept free for you to explore the nearby sites either on foot, using bicycles or catching a local bus.  Sometimes the stewards arrange a group walk or ride which very often includes a stop at a local cafe/pub for refreshments.

In the evenings, we usually meet up in the shelters or hall bringing our own drinks and snacks, and very often the stewards organise some sort of entertainment, usually in the form of a quiz or team challenge.  This is not obligatory of course – some people stay in or around their vans, chatting with friends over a drink or two and enjoying a barbecue.

Winter rallies are generally held on hard standing for obvious reasons, and quite often at schools where we have the use of the school hall.  Again, the daytime is kept free for exploring the area, and evenings follow the above format.

A raffle is normally held, and this is often drawn either on the Saturday evening, or at Coffee Morning on the Sunday.  Proceeds from the raffles help towards Club funds.

In addition to our meets, Chiltern Members sometimes attend rallies held by other MCC groups all over the country, and it is interesting to see what different activities go on at these.  Members from other groups are always given a warm welcome to our Chiltern rallies.
