Rally Report – White Mark Farm

After the recent heatwave the forecast wasn’t looking so great but that didn’t stop 21 Chiltern vans pitching up at White Mark Farm.

Ok, we did get the promised rain, but that didn’t dampen our spirits and our determination to have a great weekend. Our first-time Stewards Pam and Ray did a great job, aided by their trusty helpers Pearl and Robin. After a warm Chiltern welcome we got pitched up to the sound of the Red Kites calling as they circled overhead.

Over the weekend some members walked into town, while others simply relaxed and enjoyed the peace of this lovely site. Socialising took place on the shelters and it was one of those rare occasions where we could sit out late into the evening without getting Hypothermia. Quizzes, Playing Card Bingo and a great raffle took place and it was good to see everyone getting involved in the inevitable banter!

On Saturday afternoon we enjoyed the splendid sight of the Red Kites swooping to pick up food from the ground – a great opportunity to see these beautiful birds up close and in action.

So, another truly wonderful Chiltern weekend! Many thanks to Pam and Ray for taking the bold step into running a rally. They are now fully initiated!!

Let’s keep the good times coming!
