Our next TC was at St Peter’s School, Old Windsor, where the weather on arrival was not so kind to us – in fact it poured!! Luckily, due to some building work at the school we were not able to use the lovely field and so were all parked on tarmac.
Friday evening a few members ventured to the pub, which was a stone’s throw away, while others stayed in their vans to watch the footie.
Saturday the weather was kinder and most members ventured out. With Windsor Great Park a short walk away, many walked along the, aptly-named, Long Walk into Windsor. Others took the bus into town and some took their bikes out. One visitor
from Essex took the opportunity to book a tour of Windsor Castle, which I understand was very worthwhile. Quite a few of us walked to the pub again in the evening.
Sunday, unfortunately, was wet and so we had to abandon our outside coffee morning but this didn’t detract from a very enjoyable weekend.
