Chiltern Christmas Dinner Rally, Padworth near Reading. Fri 7-Sun 9/12/18

We arrived during the afternoon after a wet morning, 1st Few managed to park up on the hard standing, but eventually we had to park them up on the field, luckily they all managed to get into position with a little push here & there.
Friday night we were split into 6 tables of around 6 to 8 per table & given 45 minutes to construct & Decorate a Christmas Tree out of Newspapers. After a lot of Teamwork & some cheating the highest & prettiest won prizes. We were then treated to some Cheese & Crackers, kindly provided by our Chairman Mick & the Lovely Julie, followed by a hilarious Pig Racing Game & the 12 Days of Christmas with the lines given to each table so they had to stand every time their line came up, didn’t need the Gym that day.
Saturday saw Robin & Pearl leading a walk to a garden centre for coffee n Cake, then the Committee & Helpers set the hall up for the Xmas Meal.
18.00 we all met up for Mulled Wine & an excellent Dinner followed by a Changing of President Ceremony, Derek Gosling our Old President has resigned & been replaced by Pete Randall. Pete then DJ’d for the rest of the evening with most of us attempting to dance the night away.
Sunday saw the usual coffee morning & goodbyes followed by a busy half hour with everyone helping to get all the vans off the field.
All in all a Great Weekend.
